The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS) was established in November,1989 as an autonomous organisation in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. NIOS is providing a number of Vocational, Life Enrichment and community oriented courses besides General and Academic Courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. It also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).Government of India through a gazette notification vested NIOS with the authority to examine and certify learners registered with it upto pre degree level courses whether Academic, Technical or Vocational. Association of Indian Universities, vide letter No . EV/11(354)/91/ 25 July, 1991 issued Equivalence of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of NIOS.

Education teaches life practice and prepare for the struggle of life. In fact, he is teaching us the eye (insight) and flange (capacity), which give both life and work of sustenance. Here it may be mentioned that not only knowledge and information literacy and school education is not to be deprived of education is not to be denied. Schools are not the only means of educational attainment. Ivan Illich so far as the great educationist said that my mother sent me to school, so she wanted to educate me. This does not mean that the school is that the school organization Bemayne rather than being learned informally. While literacy is a skill remains the only school becomes social literacy education. Formal and informal education is mutually Snpurk. Informal learning community that meets in person to create his own natural ability develops knowledge. Learning becomes enjoyable and comfortable.
Learned through formal education where the teacher is there like Eklavya in informal education efforts are learned. Buddha has said ‘enlightenment’ Be the light itself. Swami Vivekananda has said that growing plants and to teach children to do the same. The plant grows in nature. We can only help him to grow.We teach children to speak it leads the whole mess. We should raise children, only those resources that their hands, feet and ears, etc. to teach themselves by using your intelligence well. “

Rajasthan State Open School, out of school learning resources is the formal recognition of the device. Minimum to 10th and 12th examinations respectively 14 and 15 years, a person can by registering.There is no maximum age limit. At 441 centers across the state regarding registration can be made.

The Northwest Association of Secondary and Higher Schools was formed as a voluntary organization on April 5, 1917 with a membership of 25 secondary schools and eight higher institutions in four Northwestern states. By December 2007, this membership increased to over 1900. Presently, the organization accredits in seven states: Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
In December 1974, the title of the organization was changed to: Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. In December 2001, the association’s name was changed to the Northwest Association of Schools and of Colleges and Universities, and on February 1, 2004 the association’s name was changed to the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools. In 2010, as a result of a restructuring plan, the name was changed to Northwest Accreditation Commission.

Society under Societies Act. It is an Open & Distance Learning Institution, set up on the lines of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), under Ministry of Human Resource Development. Govt. of India. It`s mandate is to “Reach the Unreached” in terms of Education & skill, in Uttar Pradesh through Open & Distance learning mode. in the state with social focus on marginalised Socio-economic and Religius section. As an Apex Organisation. in the field of school education. it develops it`s own content and books, imparts education. corresponding to all lavel of formal school system. i.e. from Class l to Class Xll. It also hold Public Examination. followed by grand of Certificates for Class X and Class Xll. having equivalence with the Certificate of other Formal School Examination Boards like C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. and other Secondary Boards of the Country .Therefor in effect . it is an amalgamation of State Council of Educational Reserch and Training and Uttar Pradesh School Examination Board . in the field of Open & Distance Learning at school lavel. It has also been declared as a Nodal Agency for the State. UPSOS has several unique & distinguashing features. which sets it aport from all other formal Examination Boards.

It is an Open & Distance Learning Institution, set up on the lines of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. It's mandate is to "Reaching the Unreached" in terms of Education & Skills, in Bihar, through Open & Distance learning mode. It provides special focus on marginalised Socio-economic and Religious sections for the purpose of their integration with the main stream through relevant educational and skill development interventions. As an Apex Organisation, in the field of school education, it develops it's own content and books, imparts education, corresponding to all levels of formal school system, i.e. from Class I to Class XII. It also hold Public Examination, followed by grants of Certificates for Class X and Class XII, having equivalence with the Certificates of other Formal School Examination Boards like C.B.S.E./I.C.S.E. and other Secondary Boards of the Country.Therefore in effect, it is an amalgamation of State Council of Educational Research and Training and Bihar School Examination Board, in the field of Open & Distance Learning, at school level.
